From the President

From MARC President, Rocky Ford

Founded on May 24, 1956, The MIDTOWN ATLANTA ROTARY CLUB (MARC) remains one of the premier Rotary Clubs in the Atlanta metro area. With a membership of 80 like-minded individuals, we are committed to “Service Above Self” through community service projects and greater mutual understanding through fellowship. Our members work in Midtown and the surrounding area for Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, health care, real estate, government, legal, non-profits and other organizations.

“Creativity loves constraint.” During the CoVid-19 pandemic, we have been meeting weekly on ZOOM. We continue to offer inspiring programs from high-profile speakers, induct new members, provide service project opportunities and enjoy the company of community-minded people. Normally, we meet at the Ansley Golf Club and hope to resume our meetings there when it is safe to do so.

MARC is proud of its strong commitment to social change and inclusion. We are committed to racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual diversity; the Club also has a strong commitment to community service and social mission in Midtown Atlanta and nearby neighborhoods. We have a growing involvement with international service.

Our theme for 2020-21 is KNOW, GROW & GIVE, punctuating our interest in getting to know one another better through social activities, grow our club in all ways, and give charitably to Rotary International, the MARC Foundation and service projects that benefit others.

I invite you to contact us and join us for our weekly Zoom meetings.
