The Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest is a character education and creative writing program for high school students. Students are asked to select a saying or “Law of Life” and to show how the quote applies to their life. The contest challenges students to reflect upon their life experiences and personal values. Through their writings, students often discovered meaning in simple everyday acts, and gain confidence in their potential to live meaningful and purposeful lives.
The contest celebrates the students’ stories and their often profound reflections. Grade, School and State winners are awarded cash awards, honorable mentions are also selected for each grade.
