Giving & Donations

MARC has a proud and impressive history of giving. In 2014-2015, MARC led the district in per capita annual giving at $210 per member. Over time, through the gifts of individual members, MARC has contributed $306,000 to Rotary initiatives worldwide.

Currently, MARC offers two giving opportunities, both of which have 501(c)(3) status.

  • Rotary International Foundation (Annual Fund)
  • Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club Foundation (MARC Foundation)

Rotary International Foundation (Annual Fund)
The foundation was started 1917 with a gift of $26.50. 92% of funds received are spent on program
awards and operations. Last year the Foundation awarded $86,677,399 in
funding to 1,306 grants. Gifts to RI enable Rotary to provide district grants, including grants to MARC that allow us to further serve our local community.

MARC expects 100% member participation; and sets annual goals. The MARC goal for 2019-2020 is $8000. MARC recognizes that the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund is the primary source of funds supporting The Rotary Foundation’s programs and areas of focus.

Please note: in 2015, MARC became a 100% Paul Harris Fellow club. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation, either in one gift or over time. Every MARC member is encouraged to become a Paul Harris Fellow.
